Beach Comber Sock Pattern

Beachcomer by RhyFlower Knits is a whimsical sock pattern that features delightful cables, twisted stitches, and eyelets in a unified motif that runs along the instep, back of the leg, and is incorporated into the heel flap.

DETAILS

Gauge: 8 stitches by 10 rounds in stockinette = 1” / 2.5 cm, after blocking. Gauge is crucial in obtaining the correct fit. Changes in gauge will result in a size difference for your finished socks.

Finished Measurements:

(Measured around the ball of the foot.)
7.5 [8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5, 11]” / 19 [20.5, 21.5, 23, 24.5, 25.5, 27, 28] cm circumference – intended to be worn with 1” / 2.5 cm of negative ease. The sample shown was knit using the cuff-down version of this pattern on 64-sts.

Materials Used: 300-500 yds / 274-458 m fingering weight yarn (depending on the length of your foot and leg), tapestry needle, cable needle, stitch markers

Needle Size: US1 (2.25 mm) 32-40” (82-102 cm) circular needles, or size required to obtain gauge
